Q: Hey Piquant, pretty sure from yer photos that yer shipment fits into a typical postal box i.e. envelope size, but could u confirm? I don't wanna go up to the post-office to p/u every month :) Ta! BAsked by Beth M., March 2020

Piquant Post answered...March 2020

Hi Beth!
That's correct that our monthly subscription product is sent to yer regular mailbox (if you live in the USA). We ship 'em in 6x10 flat envelopes via USPS first class mail to help keep our prices as low as possible. For international orders, we have to purchase postage for small parcels due to regulations, and while they are mailed in the same flat envelopes that fit in post boxes, each country's postal service has their own regulations on where to deliver items shipped as small parcels.

Yes, it should fit. The spices come in little, zip-lock, flat containers, and the total package is pretty flat and not much bigger than the recipe cards that are included.

Q: Hi, do you list the individual spices and amounts that are used in the blends in case we want to make it again? Asked by Christina R., August 2020

Piquant Post answered...August 2020

Hi! Yes, ingredients are listed on the package. If you want to make the recipes again, you can now reorder the spice blends! To reorder, log into your account and click the link 'spice store' in the menu. If you received a gift, you'll have to email us for the private link until we launch a redesigned store later in 2020. We don't release our spice blend recipes as those are proprietary.

Q: Do you have substitution recipes for alternative meats (e.g. no pork/beef diets, etc)Asked by Laura K., July 2020

Piquant Post answered...July 2020

Hi Laura, we do offer ingredient substitution ideas and alternative recipes in the digital version of each of our recipes. You can see all of our digital recipes on our website piquantpost 'dot' com.

Q: Are there any oils added as binders to the spices. I have an allergy to canola and cottonseed and have to always check spice mixes. I would love to try something like this if it's safe for me.Asked by Marissa M., May 2020

Piquant Post answered...June 2020

Hi Marissa, we blend all of our own product and do not use any oils as binders. All ingredients are listed on the package.

My friend loved this subscription. I try to get her a subscription of Piquant Post every year for Christmas. Her husband always raves about the recipes she gets and fixes for them. The only hiccup I had this year was shipping. My friend moved and directions to change address was not clear. Otherwise, fantastic

I want to cancel my subscription but find no option to do this

Piquant Post said...May 05, 2023

Hi Pamela,
Sorry to hear you had trouble canceling. You simply need to email us or go to our website to use a support chat. Wish you had reached out so we could have resolved it quickly. We canceled your subscription for you <5 mins after you left this review (our first notice you had an issue)
As far as finding the option to cancel on your account, you'll have to direct your question to Cratejoy, the marketplace reseller where you purchased. You just rated us, the merchant, 2 stars for not being able to find a feature on Cratejoy's website, which we have zero control over.

My husband and I love cooking together. Now we can create meals with so many new flavors to try! We did a malva cake with the Zanzibar zest and it was loved by the family! This makes us excited to try all of them. If you love to cook and enjoy new flavors I would definitely recommend trying this!

This is by far my favourite spice subscription, I’ve tried a few different ones. The recipes are extremely easy to follow and delicious & I love that they have the spices for sale on their website in case you want to buy more for future recipes! They even have alternative recipes on their website in case you want to make something different with the spices you receive. So far I’ve made 2 out of the 4 recipes and I’m literally in LOVE! I’m basically a pro chef now thanks to Piquant Post!

This is a wonderful, reasonably priced way to add a surprise to your month! I have tried all the recipes so far and they have all been winners. I like the fact that the products sent are currated to a specific region. It is amazing!

I signed up for this box on a whim earlier this year and I loved it! I looked forward to seeing what new recipes I'd get every month. Not every recipe was for me (I wish there was a way to say no seafood recipes or like, only vegetarian recipes or something when you sign up) but they have alternative recipes for the spices you get on their website and I really liked that. If you're looking for a way to try new things with your cooking, Piquant Post gives you a good excuse at a really decent price.
