Box contents are a surprise until they arrive - it's part of the excitement of our box! We don't currently have a way to note allergies on customer accounts, unfortunately. If you want to email us and let us know what the allergy is, we can let you know if it's a scent we use.

All products through our Cratejoy listing are for subscriptions. You do have the ability to sign up to gift the box, and immediately cancel. It then cancels the subscription but you still get the first box.

If you check the box when ordering that it is a gift, you can also include a gift message and that will be emailed to your recipient the day you order so they know it's coming. It also gives your gift recipient an opportunity to contact us about changing their book genre - sometimes people prefer a different book genre than the one chosen for them by the gift giver so we email everyone who is receiving a gift (if we have their email) to ask if they would like to pick a different one.
We have exchanged books for people when they've already read them - we do it on a case by case basis. (We can do it once in a while...
